My name is Laura, and my husband and I have built our life around love, resilience, and the shared dream of becoming parents. We have stood by each other through years of uncertainty, grief, and hope—holding onto the belief that one day we would get to grow our family. Our marriage has been shaped by patience and compassion, especially as we’ve navigated a journey neither of us ever imagined would be this long or painful. Through every setback, my husband has been my constant support, carrying hope for both of us when I felt too exhausted to hold it myself.
For decades, I lived with debilitating pain that was dismissed, minimized, or misunderstood. It took 17 years of suffering before I finally received a diagnosis of endometriosis—an answer that brought both relief and heartbreak. Endometriosis has affected every part of my life: my body, my mental health, my career, and ultimately my fertility. Month after month, year after year, we tried to conceive while my body silently worked against me. Each negative test, each flare-up, and each unanswered question left another invisible scar. IVF is not just a medical treatment for us—it represents hope after years of being unheard, and a chance at the future we have been waiting and fighting for far longer than anyone should have to.
